We are a self-help group and would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join our Society.
Our group is about informing you on your rights and offering practical advice and individual support if needed.
The group aims to act as a voice for disabled students and address any areas of discrimination, whether this is academically or socially. We also aim to create an effective communication system between the group and major bodies so that any major changes that will affect us will be discussed with the group first and to bridge that gap between the 'them' and 'us'.
We welcome all students who self-determine themselves disabled to attend our meetings.
We hope to arrange various social activities and guest speakers in the future.
Because there are more of us we can share ideas with each other. eg, discuss LEA funding, a piece of technology, etc. by pooling our ideas we could benefit each other. You may feel there is an issue you think needs addressing, come along and tell us.
