The Climbing Club is one of the most popular clubs at the Students' Union, and is still growing.
We offer an opportunity to experience new adventures and personal challenges.
We are a diverse mix of people, age range, mature students, various nationalities, skill levels, part time and full time.
We are keen to attract more people to our busy club. Scared of heights? - Don't worry. We meet up typically twice a week and at the weekend, but you don't need to commit to any sessions as a member. Some attend once a week others all the time and some occasionally, and there's the social events too.
Equipment is provided and safety is always a priority along with having fun and enjoying the thrills of climbing and abseiling. Whether male or female total beginner or pro come and give it a go, join the Climbing Club.
Last year we had several trips out and some of us entered competitions.
Training takes place on the climbing wall in the Sports Centre, Deane Campus. So why not come and have a go you may like it!
